Sort of similar to the way it becomes harder and harder to reply to an email, the longer it sits in your inbox.<\/p>\n<p>This evening, I saw\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amtrak.com\">Amtrak<\/a>&#8216;s southbound\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/servlet\/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak\/am2Route\/Horizontal_Route_Page&amp;c=am2Route&amp;cid=1081256321858&amp;ssid=134\">Crescent<\/a>\u00a0as it was pulling in to Union Station. Since my schedule is somewhat regular now, I manage to see this train every few weeks, because it&#8217;s scheduled to arrive just at about the time I&#8217;m almost home on the Metro. Yesterday, on account of an early arrival home, I managed to catch a glimpse of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/servlet\/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak\/am2Route\/Horizontal_Route_Page&amp;c=am2Route&amp;cid=1081256321384&amp;ssid=134\">Capitol Limited<\/a>, which is a treat because it&#8217;s the only\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Superliner_(railcar)\">Superliner<\/a>\u00a0train that comes to DC.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/metcaffeination.net\/weblog\/2007\/11\/28\/small-pleasures\/\">Simple pleasures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last week I was in Wisconsin, at &#8220;The Lake,&#8221; the annual gathering of my extended family. I hope to blog about &#8220;The Lake&#8221; soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I do have other posts in the works: about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.trams-in-france.net\/\">French Trams<\/a>, about the way the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brompton.co.uk\/\">Brompton<\/a>\u00a0has changed my commute, and a review of\u00a0Outside Lies Magic.
